FOODSHOT CRITERIA
APLICATIONS WILL BE EVALUATED, AND FINALISTS SELECTED WHO
MEET THE FOLLOWING BROAD CRITERIA:
MISSION ALIGNED
Address Foodshot's key pillars of a healthy, sustainable, and
equitable food system and demonstrate meaningful
progress against the defined FoodShot.
GLOBAL IMPACT
Ensure global relevance, with the potential
to materially improve systems for the maximum
number of people around the world.
SCALABLE
Contain an articulated pathway from
present —
whether research, lab validation, R&D pilot,
initial commercial launch or beyond —
stage to true growth stage where financial
viability and global impact can be fully realized.
ACCELERATED
Exhibit measurable scale and impact over
a time horizon of 5-12 years, and facilitate
future innovation and systemic change.
INVESTABLE
Financially viable as measured through
leadership, business model, strategy,
performance, novelty, intellectual property, and defensibility.
GROUNDBREAKER PRIZE
A cash prize will be awarded to rising stars working in research, early stage
entrepreneurship, or advocacy.
Candidates are nominated by FoodShot Global, its partners and the broader food
and agriculture ecosystem.
RECOMMEND A GROUNDBREAKER
Nominations are due by Decemeber 1. Selected candidates will be notified and invited
to submit an
electronic
application to be considered for the GroundBreaker Prize.
